Bovingdon – Daily Routine

The following routine is only a guide as children’s needs are met throughout the day, and this may vary on the age of the child. We encourage child initiated play and freedom of choice, which includes all meal and snack times.

Below is an example of a daily routine:

7.30am – Nursery opens
7.45am – 8.25am Breakfast
8.30am – 9.45am Free flow activities / art and messy play time
9.45am – 10.15am Snack time
10.15am – 10.45am Nappy time
10.45am – 11.30am Outdoor activities (includes walks to the farm)
11.30am – 11.40am Story and singing time
11.40am – 12.20pm Lunchtime
12.20pm – 2.00pm Sleep time / quiet activities
2.00pm – 2.30pm Snack and nappy time
2.30pm – 3.15pm Free flow activities / art and messy play
3.15pm – 3.45pm Outdoor activities (includes walks to the farm)
3.45pm – 4.00pm Story / singing time
4.00pm – 4.30pm Tea time
4.30pm – 5.15pm Activity time
5.15pm – 6.00pm Story time
6.00pm – 6.30pm Evening snack and free play
