Latimer – Daily Routine

The following routine is only a guide as children’s needs are met throughout the day, and this may vary on the age of the child. We encourage child initiated play and freedom of choice, which includes all meal and snack times.

Below is an example of a daily routine:

7.30am Nursery opens
7.30am – 8.25am Breakfast and Free Flow Play
8.30am – 9.15am Free flow
9.15am – 9.45am Outdoor activities (includes woodland walks)
9.45am – 10.05am Snack time
10.05am – 10.45am Set activities / art and messy play time / quiet activities
10.30am -11.00am Nappy time
10.45am – 11.15am – Adventure play room
11.15am -11.30am Story / singing time
11.30am – 11.40am Prepare for lunch
11.40am – 12.20pm Lunchtime
12.20pm – 2.00pm Sleep time / quiet activities
2.00pm – 2.30pm Snack and nappy time
2.30pm – 3.30pm Set activities/Adventure play room
3.30pm – 4.00pm Outdoor activities (including woodland walks)
4.00pm – 4.15pm Story / singing time
4.15pm – 4.45pm Tea time
4.45pm – 5.15pm Nappy time
5.00pm – 6.15pm Activity time
6.15pm – 6.30pm Story time
6.30pm – 7.00pm Evening snack and free play
