Chorleywood – Introduction

We are open Monday to Friday 7.30am – 6.30pm all year round except for public bank holidays. We offer morning and afternoon sessions, full days or a full week.

Upon turning into our nursery, proceed down the slope to our car park at the rear. Our main entrance to the nursery is via the gate in this car park which leads to our garden area. Alternatively, we have an entrance via the front door facing Heronsgate Road. The nursery is arranged over 3 floors. The lower ground floor is home to our soft play and ball pool room.

Also here we have our Upper Pre-school classroom, toilets and staff / parent lounge. On the ground floor we have our Babies and Toddlers rooms, our office and the main kitchen. On the top floor we have our Lower Pre-school, messy play room, imaginary room, dining room, language & literacy room (computer room) and toilets.

Our Lower Pre-school is for children 2 to 3½ years; our Upper Pre-school is for children from 3 to 5 years, here children are requested to wear uniform. We follow The Early Years Foundation Stage for children from Birth to 5 years.

Our cook produces nutritious home-made food, the children having breakfast, mid-morning snack, hot home-made lunch and dessert, afternoon snack and then a high tea (all-day children receive all of these, morning/afternoon children receive the meals applicable for the time of day). Fresh ingredients are locally sourced i.e. meat is supplied by W.H. Higgins of Chorleywood, fruit and vegetables are supplied by Grocer on the Green.

We have a variety of extra curriculum activities throughout the year such as sport sessions with Challenge Sport & Education, music/dance classes with Dinky Dancers etc.
